Rich soil, warm Lodi sun and cool San Francisco Bay breezes, in combination with natural viticultural practices enable us to produce these fine wines.
Our great, great grandfather recognized the potential of this region when he homesteaded 160 acres on the western edge of Lodi, California in the 1860’s.
Today, the 6th generation of wine grape growers carries on the tradition of nurturing the old vines as well as promoting new varietals.
"One of my favorite value-priced reds year in and year out is Michael David's Windmill Old Vine Zinfandel. It reveals heady, spicy, grapy notes with lots of black cherry, black currant, licorice, garrigue, and pepper characteristics. Complex, medium to full-bodied, heady, delicious wine."
