Over the top and shattering to the veins, these wines possess major concentration and daring avor. The original is the Earthquake Zin which came from an old Lodi vineyard planted around the same time of San Francisco’s great Earthquake of 1906. While mulling over a label name in the vineyard, Michael Phillips thought it only seemed tting to relate this intense wine with the historical quake. These dark and voluminous wines will denitely leave your senses quivering.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The 2013 vintage of Earthquake Cab is a well structured, full bodied wine. Mild tannins give way to dark summer fruit (blackcurrant and plum) and a hint of tobacco. Layered with notes of chocolate and savory spice, this wine is the perfect compliment to a well cooked beef let. Drink now or enjoy over the next several years.

We enjoyed a bottle of this at the 411 Restaurant in McMinnville, Oregon. Our waiter told it would be a good pairing for our steak--and, OMGosh, it was perfect. Hoping to visit you this winter.

I found this wine about 2 years ago. It is my favorite. I have 8 bottles on reserve in my home. When we have guests over most will ask for a glass of my favorite wine and have starting serving it in their homes as well.

A nice wine, quite delicious on the pallet, like a big German winter type of flavour. Almost of the black ginnibush variety I've tried before.

The bottle that we got was obviously shipped wrong. After removing the wrapping I noticed that the cork was wet with wine on top. The cork was soaked through when removed. I tried a sip and it was totally unpalatable. Read on the website that I am unable to return for this reason. Wasted my money and will never risk it again on this winery.
