Building on the wild success of Freakshow Cab - the first wine in the Freakshow lineup - Michael David searched near and far to find their next main attraction. Known for taking the road less traveled, they decided an exceptional offering that displays the undeniable brut of Lodi Syrah was just the ticket. Freakshow Red is a mash-up of man meets wild...Syrah’s untamed and mysterious allure is refined and polished with the addition of Petite Sirah and just a splash of Souzao. Prepare your eyes and taste buds for a FREAK like no other!

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Aromas of Blackberry cobbler, toasted walnuts, espresso bean and hints of brandy. The wine is weighty with a velvet-like texture boasting flavors of ripe brambleberry jam, toffee, and dark chocolate mousse followed by wisps of pipe tobacco and mesquite.

This was a Christmas gift from some good friends who thought the label was outstanding and hoped the wine would match - they made a great choice...the dark color was a tip off to the wonderful complicated taste...we are about to enjoy some pretzels and dip with it and not contend with the last minute Christmas shoppers. You'll really like this wine!

I am a Muscat person and definitely like things on the sweet side but had been invited to a wine tasting and was willing to at least see if there was something in the dry category I felt confident I could keep on hand for visitors that don't do sweet. This fit the bill perfectly. While I must admit that I'm unlikely to having a glass with said visitor, I could at least appreciate the flavors and aroma of Freakshow and feel confident it will be a win for my purposes. A close second was Petite Petite. Freakshow just had more to offer more sense.

WOW! I bought it for the interesting label but glad I bought 2. Going back for more for me and for gifts! Rich but smooth.
